Exhibition Appearance of Veolia Receives Distinction

MIKS is Awarded the “Sustainable Project” Certification of the FAMAB

(Hamburg, 13.08.2015) The trade fair appearance of Veolia Germany at the IFAT 2014 was one of the first projects ever to receive the certification “Sustainable Project” from FAMAB. Along with the client, the agency MIKS GmbH was responsible for the design, concept and realization, using an especially sustainable framework. The Hamburg-based company has long-standing commitment to sustainability, it is a pioneer in the field. The agency led by Michaela Kruse was active in the development phase in particular of the processes for the certificate “Sustainable Company,” as well as the now completed pilot phase for the certification of “Sustainable Projects.”

With the claim “Ressourcen für Welt – Resourcing the world” we showcased the environmental services provider in a sustainable trade fair concept. Unlike standard trade exhibit practise, in this case the use and recyclability of ecofriendly materials was prioritized from the very first planning stage,” states Kruse, managing director of MIKS. The result was a resource-efficient and yet highly individual, stand-alone brand presence for Veolia.
Along with the newly obtained certificate, the exhibition appearance of Veolia already garnered attention the previous year, when it won the FAMAB Award in the category “Best Green Idea / Sustainable Process.” “We are very pleased with the successful certification and thank everyone involved in the project for pursuing the idea of sustainability with us,” states Julia Heidemann from the department of communications and events at Veolia. For the coming year two further trade fair appearances of the company are planned with MIKS.
